About Us
Ontario Tech Inc was founded in 2002 under the name Ontario Technical Design. The company name was changed in 2009 to better reflect our present business capabilities. We offer solutions to the Microscopy, Inspection, and Machine Vision markets. The founder of Ontario Tech has worked with optics and optical instrument companies since 1987. Ontario Tech became the US and Canadian distributor for Opto in 2007.
Ontario Tech also offers electrical engineering design services for product development or in-house test systems. Services include circuit design, prototype assembly, PCB design, system integration, and final product design. Areas of expertise include motion control, data acquisition, and imaging systems. LabVIEW, C, Basic, and Assembly programming languages are used for embedded control firmware and Windows application development.
Opto Sonderbedarf GmbH is located in Grafelfing, Germany outside of Munich. Opto has been delivering optical components and systems to the microscopy, machine vision, and automotive markets since the company was founded in 1980. In recent years, Opto has expanded its business throughout Europe and now is working with Ontario Tech to offer products and customer service in the US and Canada.
